I have a lot of friends from high school that go to UTD and they fucking hate the place. But, you could feel excluded at SMU if you don't join a fraternity or sorority; not that greek life is the only way to meet friends here, but it's more difficult if you don't rush.

Both schools offer strong science curricula and are well worth touring. I feel rather stupid for putting away a $50,000 package per year and SMU is such a nice school.
